The Story of the Ronn Torossian Foundation
Ronn Torossian and the Ronn Torossian Foundationhave made it their mission to support a variety of groups that make it their mission to give back to people who do great things. The Ronn Torossian Foundation is especially dedicated to helping organizations that are devoted to education, health care, fostering community, and Judaism.
The Ronn Torossian Foundation was founded in memory of the woman who was – and still is – my hero: my mother, Penny Waga. Born in a WWII-
Displaced Persons camp to a family of Holocaust survivors who would later move to Israel and ultimately the United States, she was a woman who loved and was loved. My mom taught me so many things and made me the man that I am. For her, giving back was a necessary component for success.
Learning from her example, the Ronn Torossian Foundation is proud to say that we support the charities and causes that we do.
A lifelong New Yorker, I’ve come to realize that it’s the people I’ve known and the experiences I’ve had – including my New York City upbringing – that have cemented my belief that giving back to the community and society at large is a crucial element of both personal happiness and success. I created the Ronn Torossian Foundation with this in mind.
We support a wide variety of outstanding nonprofit organizations, from those like the RAJE (The Russian American Jewish Experience) – which helps immigrants from the former Soviet Union connect with their heritage and community, while also supporting their educational and professional goals – to cancer research related organizations like the Susan G. Komen Foundation – to a variety of other important organizations.
Here at the Ronn Torossian Foundation we care about giving charity. It is important, and we care about helping people.
In collaboration with the charities we work with, and people who care, the Ronn Torossian Foundation hopes to encourage others to join the efforts to support many important causes, and many important people who need help. Questions, ideas, and feedback are always welcome.
